Astral Projecting - From A Novice To An Expert

By James P White

For those that are new to astral projecting, there can be a number of stumbling blocks that you need to overcome to successfully astral project. First you need to understand that you have the ability, everyone does. So this isn't about trying to learn something new, or force something that isn't nature. Look at it as something that you have to fine tune, like roller skating, cartwheels, riding a bike. You never forget how to do these activities, when you haven't done them in a long time you do have to practice. The same holds true for astral projecting.

Perhaps the most difficult thing to do when learning to astral project is being able to relax your body and mind totally " both are necessary in order to learn astral projecting. There are several different techniques which can help you to relax, including muscle and breathing relaxation methods.

*Some like to keep a record of the happenings while they are astral projecting and this would be recommended. You will need to remind yourself to commit to memory everything that happens while you are astral projecting yourself. When you are back, you can record this in a note book specifically for this purpose.

*Slow your body down by taking deep breaths.

*Also focus on the darkness before you as you go through the session.

*Move your focus to about a foot away and then to six feet away. Focus on this point and ensure that you focus first a foot away and then six feet away.

* Now create a line that goes up at a 90 degree angle form the point six feet away. Draw an imaginary line that runs parallel with your body.

You must continue to keep yourself focused. You can have better success in astral projecting if you keep these tips in mind. You must also have to maintain a hold of yourself as you will be able to do what you want if you maintain this hold so you will not be floating in nothingness.

Some people who practice astral projection speak with dead loved ones or take part in activities that they cannot usually do. Physical limitations and other limitations simply do not exist on the astral plane. If you have ever had a dream where you have woke up and felt it was real then you probably were astral projecting. Now you have the chance to do it with intention and be in control over the process.

Speed Reading In Only One Hour - Understanding The Mechanics

The human mind is an extraordinary force of which we only use a very small portion. In this book, "Speed Reading in only One Hour" I will demonstrate how to tap some of that unused power and use it for your own success in high school, college, and life.

Your brain is capable of understanding from 10,000 - 50,000 units of data per minute; one unit equals one word. This information is based upon old statistics (1980's). Based on recently developed speed reading technology, and strides in brain and mind development, you can achieve even greater reading speeds.

The average high school graduate, when tested, reads about 250 words per minute. The college student reads at about 300 words per minute. But, no matter what your beginning reading speed, don't worry, it is only the starting line. Imagine what an advantage you will have to be able to read over 100% faster than you had before; the possibilities are limitless.

We receive information through our five physical senses, (touching, tasting, hearing, smelling, and seeing) and by those we make decisions. We make choices and judgments from the factors that our physical senses bring into play. The five physical senses (sight, smell, hearing, taste, touch) are preprogrammed for automatic reaction.

We learn in many way, not only from physical senses, but through other forms of thought. Most thinking is conscious in nature. Senses, on the other hand, work automatically. An example of an automatic response might be: when a hungry teenager smells pizza, he or she begins salivating. Or was that Pavlov's dog? Actually, it's the same! What's taking place is that the sense of smell (called olfactory senses) has automatically brought up a thought, "PIZZA", to the brain and mind. The thought may be unconscious.

Sensing food is a physical expression of your sense smell and possibly taste. It is a mental sensation (unconsciously or consciously) through your thought processes. And finally, there seems to be a physical sensation by eating, swallowing, and smiling. To summarize the PIZZA concept here: Mind is where the "action" is -- and your body is where your "reaction" is.

The brain and the mind has enormous untapped power; I'll teach you how to tap into that potential through Speed Reading in One Hour, available at www.speedread.org . I'll show you how you can be a total success in your college life and beyond.

Effective Approaches To Overcoming Presentation Anxiety

The majority of people don't feel comfortable giving presentations, but it is a skill that can be learned. It is also an important part of career advancement, as being an effective orator can improve your job position and career goals. Making this chore into a positive experience is certainly possible, and you may surprise yourself and find that you enjoy giving presentations and speeches. Here are some suggestions for overcoming presentation anxiety and improving your confidence as you speak.

You might wish to consider enrolling in a public speaking course, but even if you choose not to pursue such a course, you can work by yourself or with a close friend or relative by giving the presentation to them or to a mirror to prepare yourself. Instead of worrying about how you will be viewed, you will be focusing upon what you are saying, and this can sometimes be beneficial to you so that you learn to welcome opportunities to share with others.

The trick to viewing presentations and public speaking in a positive light is by making them comfortable actions. We've all heard about people who enjoy being the center of attention, and this is what people should strive for. Learning to be comfortable while talking in front of others is an important presentation skill. If you feel relaxed and are enjoying the experience, then you'll come across much better and will produce stronger results.

If you feel a great deal of anxiety at the thought of having to get up in front of a crowd and deliver a meaningful presentation or speech, then attend some presentation skills seminars. While it might seem ridiculous to you to think that giving presentations can be fulfilling or even fun, it is a goal that you can achieve by utilizing the techniques that many public speaking experts have made available.

If you can relax and learn to enjoy giving presentations and public speaking, then the benefits are great. More job security, fulfillment of your personal goals for your career, or even just feeling more confident about yourself can be achieved with time, practice and opportunity.
